S.V.A. Trio, a string trio playing jazz fusion, is a formation of three renowned musicians with extensive multi-genre experience, focusing on original music.
On the Czech scene, they are a unique and innovative ensemble reflecting shared musical influences and responding to life within the metropolis. They have named their style 'urban fusion.'

Alexey Aslamas - violin
After studying at the Brno Conservatory under Professor Bohumil Kotmel, he transferred to the Prague Conservatory to study in the class of Professor Pavel Kudelásek. Under his guidance, in 2005, he graduated from the conservatory
by performing Dmitri Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1, accompanied
by the Prague Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.
In the same year, he was accepted into the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (AMU) to study in the class of Associate Professor Jindřich Pazdera. Between 2008 and 2011, he studied at the International Menuhin Music Academy Gstaad in Switzerland under Maestro Alberto Lysy and Liviu Prunaru. During his studies, he attended various masterclasses (with Professor Semion Jaroshevich, Attila Falvay, Bogdan Zvoristeanu, Mihaela Martin, Philippe Graffin, Stanimir Todorov, Ettore Causa, Hagai Shaham, and Maestro Maxim Vengerov). He also studied conducting at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in the class of Associate Professor Hynek Farkač.
Among his achievements are awards won at competitions in Interlaken (Switzerland, 2005), San Sebastian (Spain, 2008), Schwerin (Germany, 2010), and Chamonix (France, 2011). Alexey Aslamas is actively involved in chamber music (2005-2009 – member of the Kapr Quartet, 2008-2011 member of the IMMA Quartet); since 2011, he has been the leader of the Pavel Bořkovec String Quartet, and in 2020 he founded and became the leader of the S.V.A. Trio.
In parallel, he practices performing in various styles, from blues and funk to psytrance and hip hop (collaborations with bands such as Cradle of Filth, Acute Dose, producers DJ Opia and Sirian). As a composer and arranger, he collaborates with Epoque Quartet, Apollon Quartet, Michal Pavlíček, Monika Načeva, Dara Rollins, Dasha, Chuck Wansley, DJ Wich, and Štěpán Hebík (7x3). He is the permanent conductor of StarRecordings Production and Unique Orchestra.
Vladan Malinjak - viola
After graduating from the Pilsen Conservatory in 1994 (majoring in viola), he joined the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra and then the Pilsen Radio Orchestra, where he worked for 4 years. During this time, he also studied at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory (1997–2000) in the jazz department, majoring in violin under Prof. Martin Zbrožek. Since 2000, he has lived in Prague, where he has collaborated with theaters such as Archa, Kalich, HDK, Dejvické Theater, the National Theater, Studio 2, ABC, RB Theater, and others. He has also guest-performed with orchestras like Atlantis, PKO, and many others.
He was a member of the rock band JFF and also of bands like ZOO, Blue Angel Memory Band, and jazz bands Tchokola, Vladan Malinjak String Quartet, and Kvintesence Quartet. He guest-performed with the Epoque Quartet and collaborated with singers such as Dara Rollins, Vesna, Radůza, Radka Fišarová, Barbora Mochová, Veronika Vítová, Markéta Veselá, Světlana Nálepková, Bara Vaculíková, Bára Kodetová, Jana Lota, Lenny, Kristina Mihalová, Dasha, Camilla Meza, Sibel Köse, and others.
Since 2010, he has been a member of the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK. Since 2011, he has been a member of the string trio of Aneta Langerová's band (albums Pár míst, Na Radosti, Na vlně Radosti, Dvě slunce). Since 2016, he has been a member of the multi-genre string quartet Unique Quartet. In 2020, he co-founded the S.V.A Trio.
Šimon Marek - violoncello
He began studying the cello at the age of six with Professor Jan Vychytil at the Music School of the City of Prague, later continuing at Jan Neruda Grammar School with a focus on music. From 2003 to 2006, he continued his studies with Mirko and Martin Škampa. In 2006, he became a student of Jan Keller at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague, where he successfully graduated. In addition to cello, he studied composition for two years under Professor Karel Růžička. In 2014, he was accepted into the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of cellist Mikael Ericsson,
and in 2019, he successfully completed his master’s studies.
Although he primarily studied classical cello, after his studies, he has mainly worked in the pop, jazz, and alternative music scenes.
In 2016, he founded his own multi-genre string quartet, Unique Quartet, which performs and records both independently and in collaboration with leading musicians and singers from the Czech and Slovak music scenes. In 2020, he invited his colleagues and friends who share a similar musical sensibility and desire to participate in various cross-genre projects, leading to the formation of Unique Orchestra. In the same year, he became a member of the string S.V.A. Trio (Alexey Aslamas – Vladan Malinjak – Šimon Marek), with which he plays original music. In the fall of 2021, S.V.A. Trio released its debut album titled Urban Fusions. He is also active in the successful Prague-based jazz-fusion group Ochepovsky Project, the pop quartet De Facto Quartet, and the band Talaqpo, which focuses on alternative music.
He also has experience in the theater world, having accompanied various performances such as The Cement Garden at Švanda Theatre and Black Black Woods with Cirk La Putyka. He has also performed in productions at Studio DVA Theatre and ABC Theatre.
